DSC – DMG Startup and Culling
The metric includes the ability to front-load damage and the Culling Line. The former measures how flexible a team can move damage distribution towards the front of the rotation, emphasizes the proportion of damage at the frontend. The latter measures the maximum damage a team can cause at different time points, emphasizes the value of damage at the frontend. This metric becomes more important when the team’s Cost is high.

Note
In this test, we need to front-load damage as much as possible. In a 20-second rotation, Ayaka’s C6 Charge only takes effect once. From the perspective of Damage Startup Speed, the best action is to place Charge before Q, consuming Quill in advance. I have rewritten the code as follows.

We can see that the 6s Culling Line has greatly improved, and even the DPS has increased. Next, we examine this new rotation using Sample Seed as an example.
Quill is consumed in advance as expected.
The energy is full when Ayaka obtain the particles from her skill, we lose this energy in this rotation.

- This rotation is not specifically designed for a particular Culling Line, so the Culling Line value above may not represent the highest value that the team can achieve at that time point.
- The DPS peak comes from Ayaka’s C6 Charge, Q. The team’s number of damage methods is ordinary, damage front-loading ability is good, DPS curve is bad. In this rotation, 6.5s Culling Line is ordinary, 8.5s is bad, 9-15s is extremely high. If the environment requires, this team has the ability to further front-load the first peak to before the 5th second by Ayaka Charge. I think the DSC score can be given 3.5-4. This score is temporary, I need to test more teams to deepen my understanding and gain more references.
